Brunswick by Night

                                                                                 Brunswick. Maine

IC:

1) Brunswick by Night is R-Rated. Please do not destroy the setting. There is no Masque unless your character prefers not to divulge what he/she is. The Seville Inn is also a place of residence if you like.
2) No Corrections or Clarifications should not go in any role playing channel. If you have a disagreement with another player, please PM each other and try to work it out, if you can't come to a solution ask an Op to help. Do not disrupt the other players from their scene.

3) Role play is Consent Based. No Powergaming, Godmoding or Auto-Hits. No Copy-Right Characters. 16+ Some Chararacters appear to be younger then they are - Example, A 4 year old wolf can be 28 in human form, High Fantasy is ageless, you must role play with them to find out their age, it's more exciting that way.

4) Brunswick by Night is Free Form. There is dice for those who wish to use them. Some players choose to use dice for critical events, but it's not a requirement.

5) Some people enjoy posting long descriptive posts and some prefer posting faster shorter posts. There is no right or wrong way to Role Play. However, for the sake of politeness towards all players, be mindful of others when posting. There are no hard post limit caps. DO NOT HUMILIATE ANYONE IN THE OOC OR IC ABOUT THEIR STYLE OF PLAY.

OOC:
1) Racism, Sexism, Homophobia, Harassment or other Abusive Behavior will NOT be Tolerated.
2) Limit smartass remarks, it fosters a somewhat hostile negativity towards other players and their characters.
3) All players are welcome to hangout in the ooc and or any of the main channels.
POWER:
The use of special powers and capabilities should always enhance story possibilities rather than concluding the story and dropping it altogether. Powers as a matter of routine can reduce the sense of wonder that should evoke what ought to be astonishing becomes common or even tedious.

VILLAINS:

Evil characters should have a firm sense of purpose behind their treachery, it makes for an interesting antagonist. The one thing to remember about playing a powerful villain is the same thing a player should remember about playing anything; power does not make the character, please keep that in mind. Players want to know the story of the character and all through that narrative, a sense of power can be conveyed. Participate in the mystery, players will work for the information they get. It is entirely acceptable for villain to have a confusing and elaborate plan. Villains and antagonistic are valid, but execution is everything. Evil causing pandemonium is a situation that really only comes across as obnoxious are not really villains. A cold calculating mastermind with a conceived plan, now that's a villain.

Lighthouse:
Controls it's own inter-dimensional plane which acts as a hub world for some and prison for others. It can connect to other dimensions rather seamless as well and disconnect as if nothing happened. Your character can be swept up in a vortex or a rip in the veil landing on the shores, forest or front lawn of the Seville Inn, arrival is limitless for high fantasy and wod.
CHARACTERS ACCEPTED:
Mortals, elves, dwarves, gnomes, halflings, goblins, vampires, orcs, wolves, mages, dragons, fae and even more exotic creatures. One never knows what will come through the portal of the lighthouse.
